CEBCON Technologies GmbH emerged from the CEBCON GmbH, a project development and consulting company in the bioenergy market.
Our experience
During this time, the CEBCON specific particularly energy-efficient and flexibly applicable process equipment were developed for use in biomass production and treatment processes and filed for international patents.
CEBCON Technologies was founded.

2011
Foundation of CEBCON GmbH by Valery Detzel. Start of the consulting and project development business in the field of cleantech and energetic use of biomass.

2012
Invention of the innovative CEBCON pellet cooler with heat recovery and improved fire protection.

2013
German patent application and basic engineering of the CEBCON pellet cooler.

2014
International patent application and optimisation of the CEBCON pellet cooler into a marketable product.

2015
Presentation of the CEBCON pellet cooler at the 14th Industrieforum Pellets in Munich, Germany and at the ProPellets Austria conference in Wels, Austria.

2016
Foundation of CEBCON Technologies GmbH and prototype production with subsequent test operation.

2017
Sale and production of the first reference plant and start of test operation.
Patent granted in the USA.

2018
Transition of the first reference plant into continuous operation and achievement of mass production maturity.
Patent granted in Australia.

2019
Start of CEBCON dryer development.
Relocation to new premises on the grounds of the DESY Electron Synchrotron (innovation partnership sought for further development projects).
Patent granted in EU, Japan.

Valery Detzel (left)
Valery Detzel has held a variety of posts in the biomass sector for over 20 years, specialising in material and energetic use. Before founding CEBCON, he held various positions at the GEE Energy Group in Hamburg.
Valery Detzel was the interim manager of a biomass-fuelled combined heat and power plant, a wood pelletisation plant and a logistic centre; Head of Technology, Procurement and Business Development at the GEE Energy Group; Project Manager and Developer in the planning and construction of biomass facilities. Before that, he worked in the timber industry in the area of international timber purchasing as well as in the area of reforestation and forestry. Valery Detzel is a graduate business engineer (FH) and a graduate engineer for forestry (FH/GUS).

In addition to the entrepreneurs, the public Hamburger Innovationsstarter Fonds GmbH is also involved as an anchor investor in CEBCON Technologies.
Funded in equal parts by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the EU, the Hamburg-based Innovation Starter Fund (Innovationsstarter Fonds), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank, invests in promising companies that are particularly innovative and aim to grow exceptionally fast.
